Emerge Dance Teams
For dancers who want a more competitive dance experience. Team dancers are challenged in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, musical theater and more, and our teams have earned numerous regional and national awards, including outstanding choreography, costume, entertainment and overall awards.

Four teams, one Emerge family
Some dancers want to focus only on dance, while others love being part of many activities. Our teams vary in time and financial commitment so there’s a path for every dancer.
Ages 4–5 · White Oak
Mighty Mini Team
An introduction to the world of competitive dance for our youngest dancers, with time and cost kept to a minimum.
- 2 days a week

Ages 6–9 · White Oak
Regional Team
For dancers ready to join the competitive circuit at a lighter time, travel and cost commitment than the National Team.

National Team
Our most dedicated dancers. A highly competitive program built to develop each dancer into the best dancer they can be.

Dancers who go far
No matter which team your dancer chooses, our teams are designed to push them to be the best they can be. Emerge team members have gone on to dance with college teams, touring groups, Broadway, movies and cruise ships, and many have become dance teachers themselves.

Do dancers need to audition?
Yes. Each team is chosen through an audition in late May for the following season, with separate auditions at our White Oak and Harrison studios. Mighty Mini auditions are a short, fun class to see if dancers are ready.
How big is the commitment?
Being on a dance team is like playing a select sport: it’s a year-long commitment with weekly classes and rehearsals, competitions and performances. Commitment varies by team; see Team Expectations.
What does team cost?
Costs vary by dancer and team and include tuition, competition entry fees, costumes and shoes. National Team costs depend largely on how many routines and technique classes your dancer takes. Contact our office for details.
Where are competitions?
Regional competitions are typically in Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus or Indianapolis. This season the National Team also competes at nationals in Panama City, Florida.
Can my dancer take more classes?
Yes. Every team has additional class and routine opportunities for dancers who want more.
