Lead Dance Instructor
Lead children’s dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and other specialties for ages 3 through high school, recreational and competitive. Recreational teachers choreograph 2–3 minute routines for our winter and summer shows. May teach at White Oak and/or Harrison.
Key responsibilities
- Follow Emerge curriculum, playlists and lesson plans, with creative freedom
- Teach with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages participation and fun
- Take weekly attendance and communicate with the office
- Choreograph routines for winter and summer shows
- Communicate with parents about progress and upcoming events
Experience & qualifications
- Passion for children and dance
- Performance background (dance, theatre, cheer, etc.)
- Experience working with children, or a love of doing it
- Welcomes feedback; high energy, positive and self-motivated
Part time
Acro / Tumbling Instructor
Lead structured acrobatics and tumbling classes for children of all ages and skill levels, focused on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and safe skill progressions. Recreational teachers choreograph 2–3 minute acro routines for our winter and summer showcases. May teach at White Oak and/or Harrison.
Key responsibilities
- Follow Emerge curriculum and skill progressions with creative teaching
- Prioritize safety through proper spotting, technique and conditioning
- Set up and break down equipment
- Track weekly attendance and communicate with the office
- Choreograph routines for winter and summer showcases
Experience & qualifications
- Background in gymnastics, acro, tumbling, cheer or similar
- Strong understanding of safe skill progressions and spotting
- Experience working with children preferred
- Clear, professional communication with children and parents
Part time · $12–18/hr based on experience
Assistant Dance Instructor
Assist lead instructors in children’s ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop classes for ages 3 through high school. May assist at White Oak and/or Harrison.
Key responsibilities
- Arrive in dress code with time to set up
- Encourage participation, interaction and fun
- Follow direction from the lead instructor
- Collaborate with fellow Emerge teachers
Experience & qualifications
- Must be in high school or older
- Passion for children and dance
- Performance background (dance, theatre, cheer, etc.)
- Positive, high-energy and open to feedback
