Communication
Most of our communication is by email, Facebook, Instagram and this website. Please make sure the front desk has a valid email on file; you can store more than one (parents, grandparents, guardians). To reach the studio, email office@emerge-dance.com.

Attendance & make-ups
Our curriculum builds week by week, so regular attendance matters for each dancer and for their class’s performance. If your dancer will miss class, please report the absence.
If you miss a class for vacation, illness or another reason, you can attend a make-up class of the same type and age level. Arrange it with the front desk before the day of the class. Make-up classes are available August–October and January–February only. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes.
Studio closings & weather
Emerge is closed for Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Holiday Break, Spring Break and Memorial Day. Please check the calendar for exact dates.
In bad weather, morning classes follow the Northwest School District: if Northwest is delayed or closed, there are no morning classes. Evening classes are decided by 2 p.m. each day. Check Facebook, this website and your email for closing notices.
Withdrawing from a class
We require 15 days’ written notice to withdraw, and you’re responsible for payment until we receive it. Use the online withdrawal form.
Watching class
We know you want to see your child’s progress, but parents in the room can distract young dancers. Every studio has viewing monitors in the lobby, and teachers may invite parents into the room at certain times of the season.
Classroom etiquette
- No eating or chewing gum in the studios. Only water is allowed.
- No cell phones in the studio. Phones in bags must be on silent.
- Parents and friends stay out of the classroom while class is in session.
- No running in the studios or lobby.
- Dancers clean up after themselves at the end of class.
General studio rules
- Siblings must be with an adult at all times.
- Emerge isn’t responsible for items left unattended.
- Children wait inside the building to be picked up.
- Please be on time for pick-up. Repeated late pick-ups will result in additional fees.
- Please pick up after yourself and be careful with food and drinks.
- Guest Wi-Fi is provided but may be monitored and isn’t always available.
- Electronics are fine in the lobby, on silent or at low volume.
- To talk with your child’s teacher, please call to set up a time, since there’s rarely time between classes.
