Mission: The fight for excellence in pediatric cancer treatment is important, but no less important is the commitment we must make to support the families that strive for fulfilling and complete lives during and after treatment. Though treatment may end, and illness may be cured or managed, the long-term effects of factors like internal group tension, familial isolation, post-traumatic stress, the anxiety of recurrence, and the emotional, physical and financial toll on the family unit often linger for years, yes years, to come. While the importance of quality healthcare is a common shared value, we must remember to offer families a holistic, uncompromising, fighting chance at well-being, which is our urgent, passionate mission.
Mission: CityLink is a city-wide initiative started by a group of social service agencies who recognized the need for integrated services. The founding partners reached out to the faith-based community for support in realizing their vision. CityLink leverages the strengths of various social service agencies in Cincinnati and continues to build support from a broad base of faith-based, corporate, foundation and individual supporters.
Mission: Princesses Ballet began in 2003 with 8 girls and has grown to serve over 380 girls. The program serves girls ages 2-18 at 15 sites across Greater Cincinnati. Our dancers are from low-income families and sometimes referred from homeless shelters.
Mission: Our mission is to help families caring for children with life threatening illnesses with our focus being on the family unit. We strive to lift families from life’s complexities during this difficult time by providing emotional and financial support.
Anderson Ferry
Food Pantry
Mission: The Anderson Ferry Food Pantry was started over 40 years ago. At first, the church saw the need of families during the Thanksgiving holiday. Believing Thanksgiving was a time when as Americans, we give thanks for our blessings, the church decided it needed to be that blessing for those in need.
2015 Charity of Choice: Building Blocks for Kids
Mission: “Building Blocks For Kids envisions a community where the needs of children with physical, emotional and developmental challenges are being met. Our mission is to bridge the funding gap for products and services that help improve the quality of life for these children.”
